Pi Mu Epsilon
Founded in 1944, Northwestern's chapter of the national mathematics honor society Pi Mu Epsilon (Beta of Illinois) promotes and recognizes excellence in mathematics.
To qualify for membership in Pi Mu Epsilon a student must
- be a mathematics major,
- have completed at least three 300-level mathematics courses, and
- have a grade point average of at least 3.3 in all 300-level mathematics courses.
There is a one-time membership fee of $30, which includes a one-year subscription to the Pi Mu Epsilon Journal.
To apply for membership, submit a completed application form in PDF to the staff in Lunt 201.
