Abstract:
The properties of contact structures that are preserved under negative contact surgery (aka Legendrian surgery) are well-studied. I will present new results in this vein for positive contact surgery, and in particular, completely answer when contact (+r)–surgery on a Legendrian knot in the tight contact 3-sphere is symplectically fillable, for r in [0, 1).
