Speaker: Wenbo Sun

Abstract:

The convergence problem for multiple average originated in Furstenberg's work in studying Szemeredi's Theorem, where a connection between combinatorics and ergodic theory was established. In this talk, I will review the history of the multiple average problem and introduce a recent development of this subject. This is joint work with Sebastian Donoso.
