I'd like to carry out the (doomed-to-fail) endeavor of demystifying some of the things that people in the department do (other than eat free cheese, drink free wine and write huge commutative diagrams on the board). In particular I'd like to give a gentle, guided tour of some of the good things that homotopy theory has given humanity in its various guises.
