Abstract:

The main theme of the talk will be the description of the limit behavior of a large number of interacting particles, mostly inspired by work of Robert Berman. We will describe a general statistical mechanical formalism and provide some hints on a recent result of Berman showing that the solution of certain complex Monge-Ampère equations can be obtained as the deterministic limit of determinantal point processes.
