Title: Quantum Corrections in SYZ Mirror Symmetry
Speaker: Siu-Cheong Lau
Speaker Info: Chinese University of Hong Kong
Brief Description:
Special Note: Pre-talk aimed at graduate students; main talk at 4PM
Abstract:

Mirror symmetry exchanges symplectic and complex geometries among a pair of Kaehler manifolds. Strominger-Yau-Zaslow proposed to explain this mysterious phenomenon by duality between tori. In this talk, I would like to briefly review their idea, and apply it to toric Calabi-Yau manifolds to obtain their mirror. The main issue is quantum correction by open GW invariants.
