Abstract:

I am developing open Gromov-Witten theory, the enumerative geometry of pseudo-holomorphic curves with Lagrangian boundary conditions, which can also be viewed as an intersection theory on the moduli of such curves. The main difficulty is that the compactified moduli has boundary of codimension one, so we need to deal with chains instead of cycles. I will explain how to overcome this difficulty in special cases.
